Despite Economic Challenges, RE/MAX Elite raises over $400,000 in November 2008 to help the homeless!!
10 Years ago, RE/MAX Elite began supporting the homeless community with a car wash that raised $1200. That spirited commitment has produced increasing benefit to the cause through varied fundraisers every year since; reaching an astonishing $108,000 raised in 2007! And today, RE/MAX Elite is proud to announce the unprecedented success of “Community Appreciation Day 2008”! Despite the uncertainties of today’s economy, local businesses and residents pulled together and raised over $400,000 to help PATH Achieve Glendale, our local homeless project! No black tie galas, no golf tournaments, just a simple event centered around children’s activities and success stories of lives changed through the good work of PATH Achieve Glendale. “I am so thankful for all our sponsors who restored my faith and enthusiasm in making this event the turning point for our cause to eradicate homelessness in our community”, said Silva Hameline, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Elite and PATH Achieve Board Vice Chair.
Highlighting the event was a drawing to raffle off a new BMW 328i, donated by Nick Lam and David Ho of Pacific BMW. Emcee was Clair West Orr, founder of PATH.
